Weather of the Deepingdale

There is few information about the specific weather of the Deepingdale:

1 – “...except the season of snows…”[1]. It indicates the existence of a seasson that snows in the Deepingdale.
2 – “So damp a landi s much given to mists. “Faerie time” in Deepingdale is when mist lies like a ghostly shroud low over the land. When the fog hangs so, a mounted ridar can see over it, but she drops down into its concealing confines if she descends from her saddle[2].
3 – The Elminster’s Ecologies has a map (p.266) of the levels of precipitation in the Dalelands whose the selected cut shows the region of the Deepingdale:

In the map one can that the land of the Deepingdale has three types of weather: one with high precipitation that matches with the Cormanthor forest (according with the maps of the 2th edition); and another with average anual precipitation of “70-60 inches” that corresponds to the region of Highmoon and the eastern lands (following by the East Way towards Ordulin) and another with average anual precipitation of “60-50 inches” which occupies the Glaemril valley and the north land of the Deepingdale.
The Elminster’s Ecologies shows precise informations about the weather in the Cormanthor forest as a whole and that presumably applies to the section of the Cormanthor which integrates the Deepingdale as a description of the weather of “60-50 inches” and some vague informations a respeito do weather of “70-60 inches”.

Following are information about each of the types of climates found in the Deepingdale:

3.1. The Cormanthor Weather

Informations:
1 – “... the climate [of the Cormanthor] couldn’t better. In part, this is due to the moderating effect of the Myth Drannor energies, but it’s also due to the way the Hexad [deuses] designed the terrain. […] the sun strikes Cormanthor at precisely the right angle to warm the trees without scorching them. Precipitation falls lightly but steadily all year long, keeping the ground moist and the air cool. […] the forest’s sheltering canopy […] provides both shade and protection from harsh winds [protegendo-a dos] temperature extremes of the surrounding areas[3].
2 – “Cormanthor has warmer winters, fewer gale-force winds, higher humidity, and more than its share of rain[4] when compared to other regions and especially other forests.
3 – “I’d say that if you spend a couple of weeks in these parts, plan on getting rained on a day or two. Otherwise, enjoy the sunshine – we’ve got plenty of it[5]. Which allow set up the frequency of the rain in Cormanthor.
4 – Seassons of the year[6]

Month
Precipitation and day length
Temperatures, vegetation and animals
Hammer
“Tends to be dry ...”

“... cold...”
Average temperature 43 F
Low temperature 15 F
Alturiak
“... by early Alturiak, mosto of the forest has been blanketed by an inche or two of snow”.

Days with snow on ground: 25
“Temperatures remain cold but tolerable. Icicles dangle from bare limbs of oaks”.
.“Pheasants huddle beneath huckleberry bushes for warmth”.
“bears or grasshoppers [...] the former in secluded caves, the later in rotted stumps”.
Ches
“Spring comes calling”. “Thawing begins in the first few week of Ches”
Average temperature of spring: 72º F.
Tarshkh

“... by mid-Tarsakh the cottonwood trees are alredy sprouting buds and daffodils are beginning to flower”
Mirtul

Kythorn

Lei da Chama
“[The spring] lasts until Flamerule”
“Rain is frequente but light. Skies remain bright and clear during most spring storms”.
“The lengthening day, providing nearly 16 hours of direct sunlight”
“[The sunlight] permite que a vegetação cresça rápido; a maioria das mudas amadurecem antes do verão começar”.
Eleasias
“Summer arrives”
“Calm winds and blue skies predominate, but you should stay on guard for thunderstorms. A summer storm can come and go in an hour’s time, pounding the earth with sheets of rain and shattering trees with lightning spears. Pockets of fog often shroud long stretches of the forest, particularly near the northern Elvenflow”.
“Temperatures peak in late Eleasis, but we experience only a handful of days I’d consider uncomfortable. For perhaps half of Eleasis, an old horse might risk exhaustion from overheating, or a traveler might find the shade of an oak tree more appealing than the arms of her lover”.

High Temperature/Year: 86º F.
Eleint
“Oppresive humidity, common in Eleint, can sap the strenght of the mightiest warrior; wear loose clothes, drink plenty of water, and if possible, travel at night”.
Average temperature fo summer: 78º F
Marpenoth
“The summer [...] extends through Marpenoth”

Uktar
“Rain falls infrequently, but winds blow almost daily, often with enough force to flip  the hat from your head or stir up a whirlwind of fallen leaves”.
“[Autumn] brings lower temperatures, shorther days, and na avalanche of falling leaves that hides mosto f the ground within a few weeks”.
Nightal
“The first killing frost, usally arriving in the final days of Nightal, marks the beginning of winter”.
Average temperature of winter: 43º F.

4.1 – “... seasons tend to be pretty much the same from year to year. This summer should be about as warm as the one befero, and I’d be surprised if the amount of rain varies more than an inch or two from spring to spring[7].
5 – Annual Precipitation: 70 inches.[8]

3.2. The Glaemril valley weather

The writter of the book about the “Settled Lands” in the Elminster’s Ecologies compiled informations regarding the average climatics “for the region where I live[9] which is the Mistdale, that is, this “average” information propably matches either with the weather of the Deepingdale once both has the same kind of climatics (“60-50 inches”). This informations are show next:

Informations:
1 – “A typical year can bring dizzying temperature swings[10].
2 – “Storms are likewise unpredictable, a soft breeze in the morning can precede a gale-force wind at night[11].
3 – Seassons

Month
Precipitation
Temperatures and Day Lenght
Hammer
“By the end of Hammer, light snow dusts most of the settled lands”. “snow rarely exceeds a few inches until early Alturiak”
“Temperatures hover around freezing”
Alturiak
“Blizzards that can dump mountains of snow overnight”
Days with snow on the ground: 40
“brings long stretches of sub-zero weather”
Low temperature/year: - 20º F.
Ches
Spring starts
Average temperature (spring): 69º F.
Tarshkh
“Most days feature blue skies and gentle breezes”
“temperatures settling in the 70s by end of Tarskh”.
Mirtul
End of the spring: “thunderstorms become more frequent in the season’s waning weeks”. “Mirtul brings an occasional tornado, most often in the southern Harrowdale and the plains north of Cormyr”.
A spring tornado can siphon up a farmhouse in Daggerdale and dump it into Lake Sember” (EC 266). This can indicate that the twists are less frequent in the Deepingdale.

Kythorn
“Rain drenches the plains throughout Kythorn”
Average temperatures of summer: 80º F.
Lei da Chama

“Temperatures peak in late Flamerule, hovering in the high 80s (26-32) for the rest of the season”
Eleasias

“Temperatures peak in late Flamerule, hovering in the high 80s (26-32) for the rest of the season”
High temperature/year: 98º F.
Eleint
“The chance of severe weather increases as autumn draws to a close, particularly in the areas adjacent to the Thunder Peaks…”. “Hailstorms can shred corn stalks, and torrential rains can turn wheat fiels to pools of muddy water”.
Autumn: “can bring hail the size of apples” (EC, p. 266)
Average temperatures of autumn: 62º F.
Marpenoth
“Skies become bleak and gray”
“As Marpenoth approaches, temperatures drop steadily…”
Uktar

Nightal
“Winter hits in mid-Nightal”
Average temperatures of winter: 38º F.

3.1 – “The Dales experience distinct seasons, each lasting about three months. […] seasons are pretty much the same throughout the settled lands[12].

4 – Annual Precipitation: 50 inches
5 – “Many farmers fear heavy rains as much as droughts, as excessive precipitation can wash out crops and cause floods[13].
